Bey Wesley

Bey is really big in Japan (He's 5'10, the average Japanese person is 5'5). He started performing stand-up in Osaka- a fertile breeding ground for comedy. (Osaka's former mayor was a stand-up comic, and the region is also famous for having created it's own comedy style called Kamigata.)

He was a member of two of Osaka's finest improvisational troops, and performed throughout Osaka and Nagoya.

He continued his comic training during his two years in France, okay--he didn't do any comedy in France, but just being in France is pretty damn funny.

After being popular in Europe for some time--Bey is now being made available in America. He frequents open mics all over the DC area. He has performed at Wiseacres and the DC Improv. He has opened at Wolf Trap for Guitar legend George Benson, and Soul singer Will Downing, he's worked with comedy legend Dick Gregory; likely--he will soon be performing at a club near you.

READING ROOM: On occasion we get humor pieces from comedians -- you can find them all archived in our Reading Room.
