Booking Services

Are you interested in finding comedians for your event or venue? DC Standup can help. As a focal point for information in the DC / Baltimore stand-up community, we have connections to a wide variety of performers in the region, from the newest faces to the long-time professionals. Whatever you're looking for, we'll try to help you find it -- and if we can't, then we'll try to get you in touch with another booker or agency that can. Please be advised that most comedy shows are booked at least a month in advance, if not further out. Here's how it works:

Comedy Nights (open to public)

Whether you need performers for a recurring show (weekly, monthly, etc.) or a one-time event, we can help you put things together. To get started, all you have to do is e-mail us with some basic information:

  • The location and potential dates for your event.
  • The length of show that you'd like (shows can run anywhere from 30-100 minutes, depending on the event).
  • The expected audience for the event (both size and general demographics).
  • Audio/visual needs (does the venue have a sound system/microphone?).
  • Any concerns you might have as far as the content of the show (language, etc.).
  • A ballpark idea of your operating budget.

Once we have the details, we'll figure out the performers and the price that work with your budget. When the price is settled, we'll try to have comedians lined up within 10 days. (You can have final approval of the program.) We'll put the whole arrangement in writing, sending you a contract ASAP.

If you're new to comedy shows, we're also happy to offer guidance (at no charge) on how to arrange the room, how to get the show rolling and other logistical issues.

Private Functions

Our procedures are basically the same for corporate or private functions, but pay scales can be different -- e-mail chris@dcstandup.com to get an estimate for your event.
