Sometimes goofy, sometimes twisted and always original, Chris White is a man of many talents.

As a stand-up, his stories are filled with right angles, making for one of the most surprising and fresh shows around. It's dark humor with a light touch -- and the Boston Globe almost won the Pulitzer for criticism by calling him a "hidden gem." (It was really close voting, we swear.) Chris is often featured on XM and Sirus satellite radio, and he also appeared in season five of NBC's "Last Comic Standing." He's particpated in HBO's Las Vegas comedy festival, the Boston Comedy Festival, and the DC Comedy Festival, as well as battled in the Seattle Comedy Competition. He is a regularly featured performer at a number of comedy clubs across the country, and his one-man show, "I Take Requests," regularly runs before sold-out audiences in the Washington, D.C. area.

Chris also serves as the host for the DC Improv podcast, in which he interviews the club's headlining comedians; plus he organizes and runs the wildly popular Happy Hour Trivia, a 90-minute contest for nerds, by nerds.

Chris was born and raised outside of Philadelphia and is the middle of three brothers. He is a life-long fan of the Phillies, which requires both an excellent sense of humor and the ability to swing a bar stool. After studying history and journalism at the University of Richmond, Chris edited opinion columns at The Washington Post for five years before becoming a full-time comedian. He currently lives on Capitol Hill, if you can call that living.
