David Vargas
After performing to rave reviews in high school and competitions, he attended New World School of the Arts College where he majored in Theater. At the same time he began performing stand-up in South Florida and working with the Miami-based “Laughing Gas” comedy improv troupe. Taking a break from the mundane, David joined the Marine Corps and continued performing standup and theater. After nine years in the Corps, he is currently working “fou de gument” and calls DC home. Dave is insightful, smart and very funny. He breaks all stereotypes and connects well with the audience. Dave has graced the stages of Bocanuts, Wiseacres, Dr. Dremos, The Comedy Spot, The New Theater, The University of Miami, The Colony Theater in Miami Beach, The Players Theater in Sarasota and several others. He can be seen at various venues around the greater DC area. He lists his dog as his hero and he loves Jolly Ranchers. But, not the new ones -- the old ones. |
READING ROOM: On occasion we get humor pieces from comedians -- you can find them all archived in our Reading Room.
