James Buchanan, our nation's 15th president, allowed the nation to slip into Civil War. Claiming to be handcuffed by the Constitution, he failed to make any significant engagements on the issue of slavery or the widening fissure between North and South. He was the only bachelor to serve as president.

"That's right -- I was the PRESIDENT," says J.B. "And I couldn't get laid. Times have changed, huh? And what is the deal with North Korea? Egads, I don't even think they were on our maps back in 1861! It said HERE THERE BE DRAGONS. And what the hell is up with those Whigs?"
