Rob Maher

Rob started his comedy career in Tysons Corner, Virginia. He quickly became the greatest comedian of all time. It wasn't long before his humor was curing cancer, impregnating infertile woman and feeding the homeless. If you think Brian Regan's funny, you're right. Rob's act is the perfect marriage of sex and love. It's hot, unadulterated and intense yet sensitive, caring and unconditional. Rob's stage presence alone will get him into heaven. His unique insights often convince the police to look the other way. Which one doesn't fit? The invention of the wheel, the Berlin Wall being torn down, Rob Maher's bit on abortion or Neil Armstrong stepping foot on the moon? If you said the Berlin Wall being torn down, you're right. Rob doesn't think that Bill Clinton was the United States first black President. Rob thinks that Teddy Roosevelt was the United States first Asian President. He loves animals. Rob is a firm believer that "no" means "yes" and pepper spray means "do me harder." Rob Maher's act is a good book, a glass of single malt scotch, a comfortable pillow, a secluded adult bookstore, a Jimi Hendrix solo, a scene from Apocalypse Now, a pay per view prison riot and the sun setting over the ocean. It's everything you ever wanted or needed. So go see Rob Maher. Pay lots of money to see Rob Maher. You earned it. You deserve it. Do the right thing. He's Rob Maher and you're welcome.
As well as on stage, you can now see Rob each week on MHz's Megahertz, a weekly live program providing viewers with the latest in DC entertainment. Rob is the show's movie critic. Each week, in front of a live studio audience, Rob reviews a movie, peppering the review with his special comedic slant. Along with his reviews, Rob interviews moviegoers as they exit the theater. Rob's spontaneity makes these exchanges a "must see." For Megahertz, Rob has also interviewed some of today's biggest stars including Chris Rock, actress and Maxim cover girl Jamie Pressly and International Indie-Star Franke Potente. Megahertz provides the world more proof of Rob's enormous talent.
Very few comics ever find their voice, but Rob Maher has found his. It's loud, clear, insightful, confident, and funny. Above all, it's not to be missed.
Rob has appeared at the DC Improv, the Baltimore Improv, the Pittsburgh Improv, Gotham Comedy Club in New York, Wiseacres, the Thoroughgood Inn in Virginia Beach, and at numerous colleges. He has worked with Dave Attell, Lewis Black, Jim Breuer, Mark Curry, Mitch Hedberg, Dom Irrera, Tony Rock, Bobby Slayton, Guy Torry and more.
