It's been a busy month at the corporate headquarters, with the entire Dcstandup.com staff forced to undergo sensitivity training following some high-profile sexual harrassment allegations. But we're back now, and we're here to tell you what's up at the clubs this week. New stars, and a few blasts from the past. On Tuesday you can actually catch Andrew Dice Clay at the 9:30 Club. (Also on Tuesday, there's the Hispanic-flavored Reyes of Comedy at the Warner). Also from the wayback machine: Pauly Shore at the Drafthouse this weekend. Thu, 8 Sep 2011 05:00:00 GMTRob Maher and Huge Gunshttp://www.dcstandup.com/monoblog/?day=20110908http://www.dcstandup.com/monoblog/?day=20110908One of our favorite local comedians, Rob Maher, is on this week's episode of the DC Improv Podcast. He's talking about his recent tour of military bases in the Middle East, and the stories involve slightly more weaponry than an open mic in Baltimore. HEYOOOO! Wed, 7 Sep 2011 05:00:00 GMTMicrophone Check http://www.dcstandup.com/monoblog/?day=20110907http://www.dcstandup.com/monoblog/?day=20110907Good times! Tommy Davidson of "Booty Call" fame (as I think of him) is at the Improv, while comedy-star-in-training Hannibal Buress does a streth at the Drafthouse. The Gaylarious showcase makes its debut at Riot Act. Got reports from some very helpful readers that they were defunct. Tue, 30 Aug 2011 05:00:00 GMTClubs and Theaters: Aug. 29 - Sept. 4 http://www.dcstandup.com/monoblog/?day=20110830http://www.dcstandup.com/monoblog/?day=20110830Irene did a number on the last weekend's shows: Riot Act canceled Saturday operations, and the Ari Shaffir shows at the Atlas Theater got wiped out as well. This weekend, Labor Day is doing a number on some club stuff: no headliner at the Arlington Drafthouse, Sully's or Laugh Out Loud (as far as I can tell). But you've still got Jake "Most Appearances on Letterman by a Comic" Johannsen at the Improv, and some top-tier local guys on stage up in Baltimore. Enjoy the holiday!
