Thom Jones

fjtbone@gmail.com

Yes, he is the "Real Tom Jones" (although he spells his first name differently, to keep from getting confused with that other really famous guy!). Thom has lived in the D.C. area since 1997, and has been teaching twelve-fourteen year olds in the Virginia public school system ever since. Prior to that, he worked in banking and was a telecommunications sales representative. Thom was a radio disc jockey in North Carolina, and actually performed stand-up comedy about fifteen years ago in Charlotte.

He has taught public speaking seminars to adult professionals, and has written and performed several education-based musicals over the years. He is a "family-friendly" comedian, but (just like Disney!), not always G-rated. He loves to laugh and to tell stories about life, and meet new people … and he has "never met a heaping helping of barbecue I didn't like!"
