Zach Toczynski

Zach Toczynski burst onto the Washington, DC stand up comedy scene in 2003 by taking a chance at a local open mic hosted by a drag queen at a (now defunct) seedy little gay bar on the wrong side of town, After getting his first laugh he was instantly hooked (like what happens when you take Vicodin, Red Bull and Walker Black). Long story short... Zach quickly became a instant favorite and a darling on the comedy circuit, not just locally, but cities nation wide! From there, Zach hit the road on his bike to set off on his endless "Flamin' Pollack Tour," making appearances in well-known clubs all over the USA and Canada, such as the DC Improv, Baltimore Comedy Factory, and San Fran Comedy Club, and opening for such talents as Jim Gaffigan, Judy Tenuta, Caroline Raye, Judah Friedlander, Judy Gold, Kevin Meany, Charles Fleischer, Don Jamieson, Rob Pue, Mickey Cucchiella, Elvira Kurt, Chris Coccia, Rob Cantrell, Costaki Economopoulos, and many, many more!

Zach's high energy, knack for mockery, grasp of pop culture and commanding stage presence combine ever so nicely with his natural ability of quick, yet smart humor. Zach uses his recently bleached ultra white smile to inflict charm on his viewers, blurring all boundaries making Zach not only like-able, but easily relatable to a diverse range of audiences.

Also, Zach found early on he possessed natural skills at hosting all sorts of stuff that he knew nothing about! Like in 2005 Zach hosted the London-based smash hit "Sing-a-Long Sound of Music" at the George Washington’s Lisner Auditorium; and more recently was the featured comic at the “2008 Mr. Leather Maryland” contest ... I think PETA just egged my website.

Zach is the co-creator of the smash hit national comedy tour called “Gay-larious!", he's been featured in DC’s Metro Weekly, Washington Blade, and Philadelphia Gay News, and in 2007 was featured on the “COMCAST Comedy Showcase” Best of DC, at the DC Improv.
