Zach Toczynski
Not only is Zach 100% Polish, but also he is Catholic, Gay, Republican, and from Buffalo, NY...which admittedly is a lot of crap to deny on a daily basis! He was raised in Kodak-run Rochester, NY by loving, supportive, amazing, parents who tried in vain to create a normal son but apparently the lead in the water defeated them. Zach, a proud homo-gay who graduated (barely) from the University at Buffalo State College, began his professional career as a "Political Hit Man" for the much-feared Rochester, NY GOP. After many years as the "gay guy" in the office and being warmly embraced in many photo ops, Zach left Rochester, and headed to Washington, DC where he soon learned that politics were for lawyers with thyroid issues. Zach is currently a respected and established public speaker for the video game industry educating law enforcement officials world-wide on the evils of software piracy all while pursuing his true loves of stand-up comedy and writing. Basically, he plays video games all day long and gets paid for it. In 2001, Zach created and authored the Washington, DC-based Web zine called "The Zachski". "The Zachski", which read like it was penned by a 6-year old boy with a crystal meth addiction, found a niche as a reading staple in sick minds across the globe, with fans in the U.S., Canada, and even France. Zach is an unpublished comic playwright, proudly having had his play, "Tag Team Fag Attack," soundly rejected from the NYC Fringe Festival in 2003. On a more positive note, Zach is also a well-known collector of Precious Moments figurines. Zach has hosted for Jim Gaffigan at the DC Improv. He has also opened for Rob Pue at Laughlines in Vancouver, BC, and Mickey Cucchiella at the Baltimore Comedy Factory. Zach will be opening for Elvira Kurt at the Comedy Factory in November. Other highlights include being named winner of the 2004 "DC Improv Open Mic Contest", being crowned first round winner of the 2004 "Baltimore's Funniest Person Contest" at the Baltimore Comedy Factory, and being featured in the DC-based "Metro Weekly Magazine" as one of DC's best new comics. Zach recently launched his "2004 Flammin' Pollack Tour," making appearances in well-known clubs such as the DC Improv, Baltimore Comedy Factory, Wiseacres Comedy Club in Virginia, Giggle's Comedy Club in Seattle, Laughlines in Vancouver, BC as well as several other places all over the USA and Canada. Come see what homosexuals and minorities are raving about!" Upcoming ShowsZach's schedule and CV can be found on his Web site, www.thezachski.com. |
